Welcome to PCIM Asia Shenzhen!

Like PCIM Expo & Conference, which takes place annually in Nuremberg in Germany, the PCIM (short for Power Conversion, Intelligent Motion) event in China is an international meeting ground for specialists in power electronics and its applications in drive technologies and power quality.

The event offers a chance to see the latest developments in power electronics components and systems. The strong link between conference and exhibition guarantees the high quality of the show. This unique combination fosters the fast and easy exchange between industry and science, for which PCIM is famous.

This is where experts from industry and academia meet, where new trends and developments are presented to the public for the very first time. In this way, the event mirrors the entire value chain - from components, drives control and packaging to the final intelligent system.

● PCIM Asia Shanghai is an international exhibition and conference focusing on power electronic device industry chain in Asia. It is the first choice platform for domestic and foreign well-known device manufacturers to release new products and latest technologies. A number of enterprises in the field of electronic materials, inductive components and passive component products will debut in the first time.

● PCIM Asia Shanghai Conference is one of the most influential and user-driven platform for power electronics in Asia,  which held alongside the exhibition. The conference gathers the world's leading industry experts from the R&D departments of companies and academic institutions to present the latest power electronics applications and take part in technical discussions to help drive the industry forward.

● Theme Forum

Theme Forum focuses on hot topics such as power devices, passive components, GaN, SiC, materials and packaging, testing and measurement, electrified transportation and AI & data centers. Leading scientific researchers and industry pioneers from universities, research institutions, and top companies will be invited to share advanced technical solutions and insights into the future development trends of the power electronic industry.

● Thematic Pavilion

-Newcomer Pavilion: We offer first-time exhibitors a cost-aware participation.

-Industry Academia Research Collaboration Zone: We provides a platform for the industry’s colleges, scientific research institutions and student teams to exhibit and meet with the industry’s leading corporates, in an effort to encourage both parties and create more possibilities together.

-AIDC Power Ecosystem Chain Zone: Focusing on the full power delivery chain from grid interfaces to chip-grade power transmission, the zone will present high-voltage DC power supplies, solid-state transformers, high-power-density modules and advanced liquid cooling systems. Three concurrent forums, the AI Power Application Forum, the Smart Drive and Control Forum and the GaN for Physical Conference, will examine the technical and design considerations specific to high-density data centre environments.

-E-mobility Application Zone: Showcase power electronics applications for power devices, electric drive systems, on-board power supplies, and vehicle applications. Exhibits will focus on wide-bandgap power semiconductors (SiC, GaN), high-power-density packaging, and thermal management solutions. A dedicated e-mobility forum will run alongside, addressing megawatt charging, hydrogen fuel cells, low-altitude mobility and other frontier technologies.

-Renewable Energy & Smart Energy Zone: Structured around the complete lifecycle of clean energy technology: power generation with a focus on photovoltaics, energy storage through dedicated storage systems, energy application in EV charging infrastructure, and the development of core power electronics solutions. Guided by the theme “Power Electronics Driving Green Energy Systems,” the zone features the SiC and GaN devices utilised in photovoltaic inverters, energy storage converters, and charging modules.

The tendency of development in regard to future power electronics systems is characterised by:

  • Increase of system power density
  • Improvement of electrical efficiency
  • Toughness and reliability of components and systems
  • Higher flexibility and cost minimization of systems by using “digital power electronics”

Participants' comments

“Semikron Danfoss has taken part in every edition of the PCIM Asia series since its launch. It is an important event for the power electronics industry, offering a highly professional setting in which to meet peers, companies from across the supply chain and end customers. Like the flagship PCIM event in Nuremberg, Germany, PCIM Asia Shenzhen has a strong international profile and attracts expertise from across the global industry. It is also closely aligned with local industrial development, making it an important platform for dialogue, business connections and technical progress in power semiconductors and their applications.”

“The exhibition opened to a lively and active show floor. Toshiba has participated in the PCIM Asia series for over a decade, hold the event’s professional standards in high regard. Its established expertise in the high-power device sector has made it an event we attend every year. The strong visitor turnout at this edition exceeded our expectations, and we are very satisfied with the results. We will continue to participate in the future.”

“PCIM Asia Shenzhen 2026 attracted strong visitor traffic, with attendees showing a detailed understanding of system-level applications and asking questions closely connected to current priorities in downstream industries, particularly AI data centre-related products and our future product roadmap. Discussions at the exhibition were lively. With coverage spanning devices, materials, packaging, drive equipment and downstream industry trends, the event offers a comprehensive view of the industry and considerable reference value for the sector.”

“The concurrent forums were well attended, with participants listening closely to the presentations, reflecting the quality of the programme. Looking at the companies exhibiting and the topics discussed in the forums, we saw an important industry trend emerging: more companies are choosing wide-bandgap semiconductors as alternatives to traditional silicon-based chips. The event gave us an opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from others and build a deeper understanding of SiC and GaN chip design.”

“I would strongly recommend PCIM Asia Shenzhen for its combination of exhibition and specialist conference content. The event maintains close links with the industry and is very well organised, attracting professionals from across the power electronics value chain. Having representatives from each part of the industry in one place creates valuable opportunities for discussion and exchange.”

“The conference agenda for the 2026 edition was particularly well conceived, with its topics highly relevant to the current direction of the power electronics industry and to emerging technologies in the field. As a leading exhibition and conference platform, PCIM Asia Shenzhen gives industry professionals a place to exchange views on advanced technologies, consider industry trends and develop closer links between industry, academia and research, as well as along the supply chain. It is also a valuable platform for young engineers and researchers, giving them opportunities to present their work, exchange ideas and learn from others.”

“PCIM Asia Shenzhen attracts companies and professionals from across the power electronics value chain. While the market was previously oriented towards automotive applications, AI-related applications are now developing rapidly. I attended to hear how the industry sees this area evolving and what its plans are for the future. The concurrent forums and summits have supported information sharing and technical exchange. In only a few days, I have had valuable face-to-face discussions with many industry professionals. My only small regret is that there are so many high-quality sessions that it is difficult to attend every session that interests me.”
