The PCIM Asia Shanghai Conference, Asia's foremost academic gathering for the power electronics industry, returns to Shanghai this September. The 2025 programme will unite industry leaders, technical experts and academics to explore advanced solutions and future trends, highlighting developments in cutting-edge technologies such as silicon carbide (SiC), gallium nitride (GaN), motor drives and motion control, and more. PCIM Asia Shanghai 2025 to map the road ahead for e-mobility with a comprehensive schedule of activities

PCIM Asia Shanghai, Asia’s leading exhibition and conference for power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy and energy management, will be held from 24 – 26 September in halls N4 and N5 of the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. For its 2025 edition, the event will turn its attention to e-mobility, alongside other key power electronics applications including solar and wind power, energy storage, hydrogen technology, AI and data centres. Held alongside the exhibition, the PCIM Asia Shanghai Conference serves as Asia's leading platform connecting academia and industry in power electronics. PCIM Asia 2024 concludes its most expansive event to date

PCIM Asia 2024, Asia’s leading international platform for communication and exchange in power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy and energy management, concluded on 30 August at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in China. Setting new records across nearly all metrics, the 2024 edition was the largest and most comprehensive iteration of the event to date. Floor space grew by a record-breaking 8,000 sqm to a total of 20,000 sqm, with this expansion matched by significant increases in both exhibitor and visitor participation.

With 181 exhibitors and 15,348 visits, this year’s edition of PCIM Asia saw three days of high-level business exchange, networking and showcases of the most innovative products on the market. In addition to the exhibition, there were 49 presentations at the PCIM Asia concurrent forums, and a further 72 presentations at the highly renowned PCIM Asia 2023 conference, which attracted 646 visits. PCIM Asia postponed to 2023 while PCIM Asia Conference to keep its schedule this October

PCIM Asia will now be held from 29 – 31 August 2023 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre in view of current circumstances relating to the pandemic in China. Although the PCIM Asia exhibition will be moved to next year, the PCIM Asia Conference 2022 will keep its schedule this autumn from 26 – 27 October in Shanghai.

In light of recent developments concerning the pandemic in Shanghai, PCIM Asia will now be held from 26 – 28 October 2022 in Hall E1 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The show will continue to provide a platform for exchanging ideas, showcasing technologies and expanding business networks. This will be achieved through gathering the latest power electronics suppliers at the fairground and by exploring the latest trends through the fair’s concurrent programme.

The organisers of PCIM Asia made the decision today to defer the fair in view of current circumstances regarding the pandemic in Shanghai. Originally scheduled to open from 31 August – 2 September at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, new dates for the exhibition and conference will be announced in due course.

PCIM Asia 2020 postponed to November

The organisers of PCIM Asia have confirmed that the 2020 edition of the fair will now take place from 16 – 18 November due in part to disruptions to international travel resulting from the COVID-19 outbreak. Scheduled to take place in early July in Shanghai, the exhibition and conference for power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy and energy management will now be held four months later, remaining at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.
