PCIM Asia to return as PCIM Asia Shanghai in 2025, aiming to strengthen its role and reach in the Asian power electronics market

PCIM Asia – International Exhibition and Conference for Power Electronics, Intelligent Motion, Renewable Energy and Energy Management is a leading event for the power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy and energy management sectors in Asia. With a focus on the East and South China power electronics markets, its annual exhibition and conference brings together experts and industry professionals from across China, the wider Asian region, and around the world. To more clearly emphasise its regional identity and reinforce its position as Asia’s premier exhibition and conference for the industry, the event will begin incorporating the host city’s name into its title from 2025 onward. It will continue to alternate between Shenzhen and Shanghai, with its next edition, PCIM Asia Shanghai to be held from 24 – 26 September 2025 in halls N4 and N5 of the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

PCIM Asia 2024 concludes its most expansive event to date

PCIM Asia 2024, Asia’s leading international platform for communication and exchange in power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy and energy management, concluded on 30 August at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in China. Setting new records across nearly all metrics, the 2024 edition was the largest and most comprehensive iteration of the event to date. Floor space grew by a record-breaking 8,000 sqm to a total of 20,000 sqm, with this expansion matched by significant increases in both exhibitor and visitor participation.

PCIM Asia 2024 will open its doors from 28 – 30 August at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center. Expanding to 20,000 sqm of floor space, this year’s event will welcome 232 exhibitors, representing a rise in exhibitor count of over 28% compared to the 2023 edition. The fair's fringe programme will feature forums and round table discussions on e-mobility, clean energy, energy storage, wide bandgap (WBG) semiconductors and more. Alongside, the PCIM Asia Conference 2024 will present new technical developments, applications and research in power electronics.

With PCIM Asia now regularly moving every year between Shanghai and Shenzhen, 2024 will see the leading exhibition in Asia for power electronics once again taking place at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center, expanding to 20,000 sqm and expecting to host over 200 exhibitors. With 181 exhibitors and 15,348 visits, this year’s edition of PCIM Asia saw three days of high-level business exchange, networking and showcases of the most innovative products on the market. PCIM Asia postponed to 2023 while PCIM Asia Conference to keep its schedule this October

PCIM Asia will now be held from 29 – 31 August 2023 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre in view of current circumstances relating to the pandemic in China. Although the PCIM Asia exhibition will be moved to next year, the PCIM Asia Conference 2022 will keep its schedule this autumn from 26 – 27 October in Shanghai.

In light of recent developments concerning the pandemic in Shanghai, PCIM Asia will now be held from 26 – 28 October 2022 in Hall E1 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The show will continue to provide a platform for exchanging ideas, showcasing technologies and expanding business networks. This will be achieved through gathering the latest power electronics suppliers at the fairground and by exploring the latest trends through the fair’s concurrent programme.

The organisers of PCIM Asia made the decision today to defer the fair in view of current circumstances regarding the pandemic in Shanghai. Originally scheduled to open from 31 August – 2 September at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, new dates for the exhibition and conference will be announced in due course.

PCIM Asia 2020 postponed to November

The organisers of PCIM Asia have confirmed that the 2020 edition of the fair will now take place from 16 – 18 November due in part to disruptions to international travel resulting from the COVID-19 outbreak. Scheduled to take place in early July in Shanghai, the exhibition and conference for power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy and energy management will now be held four months later, remaining at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.
