PCIM Asia is an international exhibition and conference for power electronics, intelligent motion technology, renewable energy and energy management. The fair, to be held from 26 – 28 June at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center, is jointly organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd and the Shanghai Pudong International Exhibition Corp, with Mesago PCIM GmbH as a partner.
This year, many exhibitors have opted to expand their booth size, resulting in a 12% increase in net area compared to last year’s show. Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics (Shanghai) Co Ltd, a long-term exhibitor at the show, has expanded its booth size by 25% to present their state-of-the-art products and technologies. The 2018 edition of the show will see a number of famous brands make their PCIM Asia debut:
· Isabellenhütte Heusler
Isabellenhütte Heusler is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of electrical resistors and thermoelectric alloys for temperature measurement as well as being a well-known manufacturer of passive components for the automotive, electrical and electronics industries. The company also produces precision measurement systems for current, voltage and temperature measurement in cars and trucks, hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as in industrial and renewable energy generating systems.
· Vacuumschmelze China
Established in 2001, VAC China is a branch company of Germany VAC Group which employs a workforce of more than 1,000 people in China. The company specialises in HF inverters used in telecommunications, E-meter current sensors and magnetic cores made with non/nano-crystal material.
· Yangzhou Guoyang Electronics Co Ltd
Yangzhou Guoyang Electronics Co Ltd owns a 2,000 sqm workshop with more than 80 sets of instruments for scientific research and the manufacture of various products. Being an important entity of the Nanjing Electronic Devices Institute Corp, the company specialises in the development and mass production of power semiconductor modules like the SiC.
PCIM Asia 2018 Conference confirms finalists for Best Paper Award and Young Engineer Award
Held alongside the exhibition, the PCIM Asia Conference is one of the most important application-oriented, international conferences in the field of power electronics and their application in intelligent motion, renewable energy and energy management in China. The conference gathers some of the world’s leading industry experts to present the latest power electronics applications and take part in technical discussions. Some of the highlighted topics this year include advanced technologies for power semiconductor devices and passive components as well as high efficient power converters for e-mobility and renewable energy technologies.
“The Best Paper Award” and “The Young Engineer Award” will be granted to the winners from submissions that highlight technologies, market trends and government policies within the power electronics industry. The organisers will present these awards in recognition of the outstanding contribution made by those in the industry.
